Sneak Peek....

I leave tomorrow for CA and a Wee Forest Folk convention called Mouse Expo.
I am entering a display contest with the crooked shoehouse I made while at a miniature workshop in Chicago two weeks ago. I do get carried away and added an embellished, scary (yet whimsical) tree and also finished a wizard's traveling wagon (with candlelight) of my own design.
I am nearing the time when I must stop fussing but hope to find some time to make more tiny brooms and glasses tonight as well as wire another toy safe which is now a roombox for the tiny mice.
Crossing my fingers that everything will travel well with nothing broken and lights still working when I get there!
Looking forward to fun~our oldest son who lives in San Francisco is joining us for the weekend~Yipee!
I still need to figure out how to post pictures on my blog from my iPad. Guess I am a slow learner.
Have a terrific week!

I'm back with a favorite new find!

Two weeks ago, I stopped at a local thrift/antique shop. I had seen a brass bird cage on a stand a few months ago and wanted to see if it was still there. It was, and I found out the shop carries consignment items. The owner told me to make an offer so I did, never thinking it would be accepted! After all, I was leaving for Chicago and miniature shows so I was saving my money...but alas (or good luck), I offered twenty dollars less than the price and after a quick call, it was mine!

I thought long and hard about putting a miniature fairy garden in it but then a good friend gave me a belated birthday gift (the handmade kitty inside the cage-I already had the English Robin)and the rest is history....at least for now!

I have missed posting...

My new iPad is a bit too complex for me. It doesn't seem to co-operate when I want to post. I did buy "iPad for Dummies" but have yet to open it. So I am back, using my old, slow laptop.

Maybe when things slow down, I will take the time (hours for this old brain) to figure out how to post on my blog and download pictures.
