OK...I'll admit it~I get a bit carried away when I see something I really like...err LOVE!
I stopped by Everlasting Gardens in Grand Rapids today to sign up for a class in making my own fairy garden and came away with a small garden after signing up for the class. But they are so adorably sweet!
I had my Mom with me and she was so enthralled that she got in and out of the car several times to look at the gardens and ended up with a sweet one for herself!
Now I need to plot how I can 'persuade' my darling husband to make an elevated bed by the front of the house for a large garden for the fairies...!
The last picture is the fairy garden that is all mine! I added the stone bench and the glass snail. Now I have to cross my fingers that no varmints go after it.
Enjoy!

Spring Ribbon Topiaries
My dear sisters spent time up at our lake house where we shopped and ate and enjoyed time together (along with Mom and my DH).
We also worked on another version of the ribbon topiaries that I made last fall. These are so pretty, we plan to make more for each season.
The detailed instructions are in a previous blog~ http://enchantmentbylee.blogspot.com/2011/09/halloween-ribbon-topiary.html

Easter Decor
Here are a few pictures of my Easter decorations. I get carried away decorating for every holiday~what can I say?! I enjoy it.
There are many more decorations and pictures but this iPad won't let me post many. Can you say frustration?! LOL
Have a terrific Easter with friends and family! Bunny hugs!

Whispers of Easters Past
The past always seems to whisper to me. That must be why I have a hard time parting with anything~
I saw a similar title on The Cranky Queen's blog so played around with it and decided to use this one.
I got all the old plastic toys in the first picture from my Mom. I found the pink wheelbarrow recently at an antique mall.
The black and white picture was taken in 1957 before going to church. This was when my Dad was outnumbered by all the women in the family. I was so proud of my frilly dress and my younger sister did not want to wear her Easter bonnet. This picture is a treasure so I had copies made for my sisters and Mom. A month ago I had a photo charm made for Mom. I couldn't wait for Mother's Day so she is wearing it already!
The past is a treasure; the future is waiting to be treasured. I am looking forward to the future!

New Treasures....
I went to an estate sale this past week. It must have been the last day; everything was 50% off. I ended up with a few bits and pieces, all for nine dollars. I love seeing the inside of estate homes. This one must have been owned by a wealthy family since there was a maid's room with it's own separate stairway; a butlers pantry and an indoor swimming pool! The sad part was that the house was in poor shape, but it was sold. I would love to see it's transformation!
I came home with the small white metal planter (50 cents) so I stopped at a fun store which sells fairy garden materials and bought the dwarf bush. I love the glass snail and small watering can which complete this vignette.
I also found a Grand Rapids spring water bottle in the estate home's garage. Sixty years or more ago, spring water was pumped into barrels from the artisan wells in our ravine and sent into Grand Rapids to be bottled and sold.
My sister brought me the glass bunny and eggs from her trip to Chicago.
I am finally sharing a fun find from a local antique store. I liked the monkey letter holder at first sight but when I read the tag, I had to have it. I wish I had known about the estate sale where this was found. The gentleman who owned it lived not far from me and had a collection of monkeys to commemorate his part in The Wizard of Oz.
I still struggle with blogging using my iPad. I need to make some time to investigate avenues of help.
Have a great day!

Spring Baby Grass Wreath
Want an easy, fun project? This fits those requirements. I found this on a blog and decided I could use a whimsical and fun wreath for spring.
http://pattyschaffer.typepad.com/capture_the_details/2010/03/monday-make-it-spring-baby-grass-wreath.html
Her instructions are great and I found everything I needed at Joann Fabrics, just as she said. I had a coupon so the project cost less than $15.00. I think I need to add more flowers and find a pink ribbon but I am pleased with it!
Have fun!
